Some Good Waves
Yesterday, there definitely were some good looking waves but..... when I got to the beach a big squall hit, the wind dropped to nothing , everyone that could get back in got in, a few weren't that lucky and were in for a long self rescue. So I decided to run some errands , when I got back to the beach , I could see about 20 kites out, oh boy , looks like fun. Soon as I was on the beach the wind died again and every one came in again a few didn't make it in time and had to self rescue! I quess I missed it!
Today, I had fun on a 10 and surfboard, the waves weren't very big but I had some fun, just waiting for the next swell. It better not come this weekend as I will be in Calif. visiting my family!

Weather is a Weird Science
Yesterday the wind was reported at 26, and it felt like it I was boosting some pretty high jumps,
today the wind was reported at 26, but felt wimpy and I couldn't get up there for anything, weird, huh?
I can understand a forecast being off, but observations?
Oh well......here's a little vid of Cole from the other day:

New Cabrinha Switchblade
Wow, got to ride the new Cabrinha Swithblade today, and just became a huge fan! Super smooth, easy handling, and nice turning speed. Got some great boosted jumps too. I think as soon as I can sell my 2010 kites I will pick up a couple Switchblades for this year. Wind today was pretty good for a short time NE around 20 then turned more east like yesterday.

Made a Movie Today
Hey, today we had fun although the wind was not that great. Rudy had a crew of guys
out there filming us while we gave lessons, it was a blast and everyone had a great time.
We had Brian and his team doing the great camera work, Rachael Peterson and Rachael
Chisom were our students/models and me, Karen Lang and Diana Pond Klase the instructors.
Special thanks to everyone that helped! Look for our video soon on Aqua Sports's website

Man o War
Arrg, bad luck today! Was headed out for a nice little session on my 10 and surfboard
but just as I launched the wind dropped off, and then I got nailed by a man o war! I just hightailed it in and doused myself with vinegar, (I always keep a bottle in my car for the occasional man o war action). Well, maybe tomorrow, we are supposed to do a little photo shoot and I think the wind is supposed to pick up a bit tomorrow. I hope!

So this week has been pretty light wind and no waves. Good time to practice riding the surfboards so we will be ready when the winter waves arrive.
